The app replaces the tedious process of filling paper forms, which then need to be manually registered. It also guarantees for completeness of the questionnaires since incomplete uploads are not possible. Data is directly uploaded to the central SIRIS database via a secure channel with no data remaining on the iPad once successfully transmitted. Ease of use and quad-lingual implementation were core to the realization of the app.
